Hi BEATUTIES! I thought I was done for the year but I could not resist sharing a few shots of my Cleo Dress from Tilly and The Buttons and I figured a few of you might be interested in seeing it as well! Last month all I saw on my Instagram feed was cute little Cleo’s and after spotting this group photo on Tilly’s Instagram (shown below) I finnally bought the pattern! Rosa from Sewn‘s mini version (far right) in black with a floral turtleneck underneath is clearly my inspiration look! 😉 She is so awesome!
The image below may be hard to see but I wanted you to get some short of look on the layout of the pattern in case you were interested in buying. There are only 7 pieces to the pattern; Front, back, strap, front facing, back facing, hip pocket, front pocket. Very easy stuff and as always Tilly has great instructions and walks you through wonderfully! 🙂

Pattern Description: Great for beginners and bang on-trend, Cleo is simple to sew, with no fiddly zips and minimal fitting required – hooray! Make it dungaree-style with buckles, or as a pinafore with button fastenings. Choose from mini length or knee length with optional centre-front split, patch pockets on front or back, and optional contrast topstitching. – Cleo Pinafore + Dungaree Dress.
Pattern Sizing: 1 – 8, I cut size 2.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, she’s known for having great instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that this pattern suits several body shapes, it’s a cute little piece to pull over your favorite top and I can see this being popular throughout the seasons, especially winter, spring and fall! 🙂

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I would recommend. I’m not sure that I will sew again as there are so many patterns on my list, but I may! I think a floral version for spring with a white top underneath would be really cute! It’s a quick an easy make so it would whip up in no time! 🙂

Really cute. I think the mini length works better. I have some black cotton velvet in my stash which I’m thinking of using for a cleo but it may be a little light weight.
